it's only been about 5 years.. possibly longer.. in China they build entire massive subway lines in the same amount of time. The station still looks pretty decrepit after years of work
If the rumours are true that the southbound 92 stop is gone at Danforth, ironically those from the northwest will have to start running across the street - it's a long walk otherwise.No more people dashing across Woodbine into the rush hour traffic.
Apparently the second exit and elevators opened on Tuesday.
Way too long? Compare to Donlands and Greenwood which had their initial open houses the same day (June 29, 2010) as Woodbine. Donlands is currently estimated to only start construction in 2019 with completion in 2022 while Greenwood is to start construction in 2021 with completion in 2023. Though those dates could still slip. Both were to have been finished by 2014 originally.Rode by today while checking out the new woodbine bike lanes on what is likely the last nice day of the year.. and this looks quite good. While it took way, way too long, the final product is at least nice.
