I hope they keep the trees even when they renovate the public realm. With all that soil, they should grow well.

In fairness, the streetscape is supposed to be temporary......if we ever get the Waterfront East LRT underway, there is a much nicer design associated w/that.

Plus, our standards are so low in Toronto that even the temporary public realm is more sophisticated than the likes of major metropolitan arteries like Dufferin Street or Kennedy Road.
