Ugliest (potential) building to grace our skyline? Hardly. Completely forgettable? Absolutely.

There are still plenty out there that will see this as affordable classy. There is a market to be filled with these duds.

I'm just happy it doesn't have some over the top crown that's so popular in other 'burbs in the GTA, most notably MCC.

This dreary building will be facing directly Bloor St. It will be the first building that anyone coming on Bloor st (eastbound) towards Etobicoke City Centre will unfortunately see. This is not a nice way to welcome visitors. It is like spitting on their faces and telling them to turn back home and never to show their faces in this monotonous attempt of a City Centre.

Honestly, Michael Power place is an embarrassment as a whole.

Since you are familiar with MCC, it is similar to that hideous building on Rathburn that everyone driving on the 403 (eastbound & westbound) notices upfront when trying to appreciate the other buildings behind it.

Village Gate West is decent and so should be Evolution (if they ever get that thing built) but the Pemberton buildings are forgettable.

IMO, Village Gate West & Parc Nuvo has significantly improved ECC skyline. Unfortunately Evolution & Westwood Condos (two promising condos) are tucked away to even be considered part of the skyline.

michael power tower "number 4" has started going up

the final building has started. They had the parking lot finished to
street level then stopped for a while, but it looks as though things are
back on track.
