TRCA is committed to applying best practices in green building and sustainable design. The building structure is envisioned to be a low-carbon wood and concrete hybrid system, which compliments the recent changes to the Ontario Building Code to permit wood structured buildings.

At minimum, the building will strive to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) platinum certification and WELL Building certification.

finally getting around to building their new HQ I see. They moved "temporarily" up in Vaughan about 5 years ago, right beside the 400/407 in the depths of a gigantic asphalt parking lot beside the Ikea - the exact opposite spot you would expect a conservation authority to locate. This looks much more suitable.
 
Not much (visible) progress since August.
Every few weeks or so, the lads drop off some more rebar and turn over a few chunks of soil.
