On the south end (Bathurst Dundas) of the Toronto Western Hospital property we have activity with Bird Construction.

...for now, there's goes the best part of that hospital. Here's hoping what they'll replace it with will be even better.
 
Hospitals such as Western (and St. Mike's, Sunnybrook and TGH) are interesting mélanges of architectural styles as they evolve over decades. Pity the poor architect who tries to bring order and clarity to the overall plan as the additions upon additions create a labyrinth of hallways and elevator cores (which result in colour-coded trails embedded in the flooring). Yet, there are still occasional glimpses of the original buildings now hidden from view. The McLaughlin Pavilion, built in 1935, is a wonderful art deco structure (with an unfortunate mechanical box on top) that I managed to to take some pics of while visiting a patient:
