While Toronto balconies are in no way perfect at the moment, the Bloomframe doesn't have any inherent advantages over your typical sliding door and balcony (dumb and reliable).

It's just more moving parts that need to be maintained, and the whole assembly is likely inherently weaker than a normal balcony due to those moving parts.

It could work in a warm and dry Mediterrean climate, but it's likely not worth it for a Toronto-like climate. I would much rather condo developers look into large-format sliding windows that can open up and transform an entire unit into a 'balcony' instead.

Prices launched lower than expected starting at $1205 PSF for 2 Beds. "Low" by current pre-construction standards. Definitely going to sell out of the <$1.5M suites quickly.

Curious what the build quality difference (if any) will be from the residential versus purpose built rental buildings.

This will really transform that Wellington promenade. The Rail Deck park, inversely, will really transform how this building hits Front. Here's hoping that goes ahead to compliment this big build!
