Again - I don't think anyone is asking for anything tall-ER, only more building of similar heights to what is aready going in. I've been trying to get you to define what you meant by them being afraid of tall buildings, but you instead answer different questions. Are we talking 30-40 story being too tall? Yes or no, please.
What we're seeing as targets by the city aren't even tall (in the 30-40 story sense, which should not be an issue), is that they want in-fill in the 6-10 story range. I can see that being suitable for some of the Sq1 parking lots, but not for lands bordering Hurontario or Burnhamthorpe. This particular parcel will be in between commercial buildings with 18 stories and residential towers nearing 40 stories, so I don't see why they should fear or steer development away from buldings in this height range and if Greenpark wants to put in a mere 12s like other projects, it makes no sense to me. The land is too valuable and they'll want the height.
