That's not much of a concern considering the original colour wasn't bright orange and @interchange42 took great care to explain how the panels are made of real bricks.

It wouldn't. Bricks just don't look like they used to (primarily because they are constructed differently today).

How would the colour differ? Modern brick makers can make the same colours. What's stopping the architect from pairing bright colours with subdued charcoals, greys, and browns?

Honestly, if you want bright orange, don't do it with brick; do it by paint - like CNA Center in Chicago.

The brick is quite reflective. I'm sure it will be much brighter in the sun not that I don't care either way. You can have too much colour.
