Pretty astounding how Church Street is transforming (and will transform further) into a high-rise corridor between Front and Bloor. Other than Sp!re @145m built more than 15 years ago, Church remained largely a low/mid-rise street until the boom began.
ML555
@ML555 's pic above inspired me to map and recap : 8 towers 100 metre + u/c on or near Church Street. More than 1,250 metres of new height.
The Saint @ 151m
88 Queen @ 167m
Alias @ 159m.
55C: 55 Charles Condos @ 167m
The Charles at Church @ 152.70m
252 Church @ 166.1m
199 Church @ 124.5m
Social @ 165m
In the development pipeline are:
QueenChurch (perhaps the soonest to start?) @ 186 metres
119 Church @ 198.75 metres,
18 Dalhousie @ 175 metres
Centricity @ 171 metres.
625 Church @ 184m
The Roxy @ 153.23m
396 Church @ 141m
Nearby:
A block east of Church are 88 Isabella @ 203.35m and 90 Isabella @ 228.10m
A block west of Church are 15 Toronto Street @ 205.93 and 23 Toronto Street @ 258.6m
So... other than Yonge Street (built, u/c and in the pipeline)… I wonder if any street in the country is seeing such a rapid high-rise transformation.
