Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

I love the effect of those outdoor spaces (mechanical floors) because they break up the building and provide additional light-reflecting surfaces instead of having more glass.

It’s so luminous and magnificent compared to that squat, drab 1BE across the street! Well played, Renderer.

The image look a little "cold", given the champagne cladding for the supercolumns. Couldn't help but notice the gratuitous logo placement on the Scientology building.

There's another one on that rendering company website

I think Manulife Centre WILL end up looking very short with this one next to it!

Hopefully The One will have a publicly-accessible nightclub on the roof like Manulife Center has, would be some dramatic views from the top!

Don't see many naysayer comments insisting this magnificent project would stutter and fail?

Bravo Mr. Mizrahi.

And up and until Great Gulf marches forward with Gehry's twin jewel towers, this will be The One :)

Why would you think that would happen? It's never even been discussed that this would happen.

These penthouses are multi-million dollar units

The rendering looks great.

However, light pollution in Toronto is so strong, it would be difficult to see the stars in the sky.
It already is difficult to see the stars in the city, especially downtown. The notion that one ought to be able to be downtown, in the midst of all the city lights and see the stars, as well, is unrealistic.

It’s a long exposure pic with a rendering inserted, so it’s possible that the long exposure on a clear night might’ve picked up the stars. But it’s also possible that they just shoved ‘em in there for the sake of marketing. My money is on the latter.

To add a nitpick of my own, the perspective of The One is wrong in the picture, as the perspective lines don’t match to the same vanishing point.its most evident in the lower podium.

Today.

interesting how they are excavating without a ramp. Wonder what will happen for the lowest levels when a standard excavator cannot reach down any more?
