Finish line of what, height or construction? You seem to be confusing the two.https://storeys.com/mizrahi-toronto-the-one-sales-process/
It's being delayed by another 2 years... "The One is now expected to complete construction in the second half of 2027." Won't be surprised if SkyTower manages to cross the finish line before this

Yes, except our version is in extreme slow motion. Both the Chrysler and Empire State buildings were completed in less than 2 years (closer to 18 months actually).Agreed, The One is still on track to top out and claim the title for tallest building in Canada. Skygrid will take some time but they'll start hitting a floor a week as well. But Sky Tower will definitely beat its height shortly after.
It's like Toronto's version of the Chrysler building and the Empire State building that happened in the 1920s for NYC!
So what exactly does this mean for the skyscraper?Written decision from the OLT on the settlement with the City for 91 storeys was issued last week. https://www.omb.gov.on.ca/e-decisions/OLT-22-004580-JUN-07-2024.pdf

Both are steel buildings - not to say that we can match that speed, but cast concrete inevitably takes a bit longer.

I still think it's remarkable they could finish those massive skyscrapers in less than 2 years. These days that would be impossible (even for steel buildings) in Toronto or anywhere else. Both are steel buildings - not to say that we can match that speed, but cast concrete inevitably takes a bit longer.

Massive amounts of relatively cheap labour and little OHS.

That seems to defy all estimates based on progress seen in the last year or so. Funny that the article doesn't mention any reason for such a delay.https://storeys.com/mizrahi-toronto-the-one-sales-process/

The One is most probably going to top off before Skytower but I can see SkyTower finishing its construction not too long after it which is crazy considering it started construction 3 years after The OneFinish line of what, height or construction? You seem to be confusing the two.
Difference in experience think of how many large projects like sky Tower just in Toronto Pinnacle has going on now let's look at Sam that this is probably larger than all of his previous projects combined this was definitely one of those cases of flying too close to the Sun I still would love to see Pinnacle buy this project I bet with a developer like that we would see Apple come backThe One is most probably going to top off before Skytower but I can see SkyTower finishing it's construction not too long after it which is crazy considering it started construction 3 years after The One
