I don't think the news is necessarily the problem, it's the reaction and doomsaying that follows from a whole bunch of people with low post counts.

There were some interesting points raised though and a fun proposal to start an UrbanToronto REIT ( 10 000 folks pitching in 10k each? Or 1 000 folks pitching in 100k each? )

There's also the legitimate fear that there won't be many genuine buyers of $3 million+ condos at this location, after all a 15 minute walk away are houses in Rosedale.and the Annex at similar prices, and likely much easier to get mortgages for.

Those look a lot thinner then what was in the renders, are they temporary or permanent?
EDIT: Nvm found the answer a few hundred pages back... they're permanent and likely will bulk up due to cladding and insulation.
