looks like it, yup. Wonder where to. Anyone got a surface parking lot in the area that it can sit on for a few years? I believe the closest lot is at Church and Bloor..

I remember them moving the former Fox and the Fiddle on John and Adelaide...that was quite the undertaking.

I watched them move the old victorian house that is now part of Karma from the west end of the lot to the east end, yes it is so interesting and quite the undertaking.

My guess either a Mandarin Oriental or Peninsula will go here. These ultra luxurious hotels start at $500 to $700 a night! Is there really that much demand for these types of hotels in the city? Toronto is already flooded with 5 star hotels, plus a Nobu Hotel is on the way and a brand new Park Hyatt.

By my count there are only four 5 star hotels. Four Seasons, Ritz, Shangri La, and "Trump" or whatever it will turn into. Am I missing any? Will Nobu be a 5 star? Anyway Toronto to could use a few more. I would love to see a Mandarin Oriental here.

Hazelton, depending on your definition. And the Artist/Hotel Formerly Known as Trump will be a St. Regis, and certainly 5-star-calibre.

Not to get too OT, but the hotel at the Bisha, which is a Loews, has received some sterling early reviews.

It is amazing what a tall building is going on this small footprint.

I wonder if they tried to get some of the properties to the south to sell, but they held out?

Some of those terraces of the adjoining building will be very close to the new tower, but that's city life!

Traffic at this intersection is already slowed. I head through here east bound a couple times of week, and notice the slowdown.
