March 21
Was by the site and BMO is moving into this building from what I was told.

The houses are been fix up and I would say any real development for this site is 10 years down the road or until a flip takes place.

They have torn down haft of the building. That will leave a huge parking lot than what was there before.

this is disappointing. no condo project, and bigger parking lot. and this is on yonge close to a subway station. kinda backwards

Was by the site today and was expecting to see the completed work after not seeing it in 7 months, but dead in the water.

It looks the same as I last saw it with only partial demolition taken place inside. The end wall is plastic and wood framing.

Some rethinking of the project or could become part of the Davisville School redevelopment.

12 July 2014. Hopefully someone's going to prod Matlow about this eyesore in the run up to the election.

From Josh Matlow's Twitter a couple days ago:

"The owner of the old LCBO site at Millwood & Yonge has left their property derelict & an eyesore. Meeting w/city staff about action options."

Here's hoping they get some action, it's been sitting empty (and with a whole wall missing/just covered with plastic) for a couple of years now. Last time I walked by there was a giant puddle of water on the floor inside and a giant hole that graffiti artists had used to get in.

Times Group address is 1941

The address for 1945 is not the Times Group. They own the lot next door at 1941 yonge.

Building now has a 'for lease' sign.

So, they tore down half of it and they're leasing the other half?

From what I understand the property has been the subject of a family dispute for years and that's why the southern portion was demolished, right along the property line, thus leaving the former building cut in half.

The LCBO building is demolished. The site is now flat with a dirt surface, excepting what looks like a drain at the rear of the property.
