the clear coat aluminum ones are about 10% cheaper vs. black or bronze.

Clear anodized aluminum (which I assume is what you mean by clear coat aluminum), is more expensive, but was never an option. Black or grey enamel are the same cost. The choice to use black was a design decision by Core, and not a cost cutting measure.

Plus the brick podium of Pure Spirit. That entrance to the Distillery District is one of my favourite walks in the city.
