Chioce's acquisition of CREIT was completed - closed almost a year ago

TORONTO, May 4, 2018 /CNW/ - Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:CHP.UN, "Choice Properties") and Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:REF.UN, "CREIT") today announced the successful completion of the previously announced plan of arrangement (the "Transaction"), which immediately results in the creation of Canada's premier diversified real estate investment trust. The combined entity will operate as Choice Properties and will continue to trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CHP.UN. The enterprise value will be approximately $16 billion.

Finally, something from Sweeny &Co. that looks good.
The only criticism is that the two tone brick of the podium looks like it has the case of the measles. Maybe using a couple more coloured toned brick in between these two brick colours will make the gradient effect softer and more elegant and not so skin disease-like.
 
These look fantastic. A welcomed addition in a city that seems to like new residential buildings covered in grey and aluminium

I really like the two tone personally
 
This was the 1st post on this thread from Jan 11 2013, so yes the previous government sat on it for over 5 years without a full commitment to sell it
...yeah, what credit do they deserve?

Infrastructure Ontario is selling the Government of Ontario’s property at 26 Grenville Street and 27 Grosvenor Street in downtown Toronto.
The site is located north of College Street, between the highly desirable corridors of Yonge and Bay Streets.




In 2011, Infrastructure Ontario retained a team led by Urban Strategies Inc. to conduct an Optimal Use Study to explore development options for
the site. The Optimal Use Study examined the planning policy framework, heritage and market considerations, and issues related to urban design.

The study determined that two residential towers in the range of 40 to 50 storeys would be the most appropriate development scenario for the
site, yielding approximately 800-900 residential units, and 60,000 m2 (645, 835 ft2) to 72,000 m2 (775, 000 ft2) of residential GFA.
