The white bottoms of the balconies really killed this building IMO.

For me, the underside of the balconies isn't key here.

Its both the balconies themselves (and I like balconies), but here, they are asymmetrical.......... which I don't like. There's no obvious reason for it other than 'we can't think of any other way to be interesting'.

Making them symmetrical though doesn't really make the building interesting or thoughtful, just less goofy.

Everything about the cladding and the palate of the balconies is ........yawn.............uninteresting. Its not striking, its not beautiful, its not original.......its just there.

All that and the Pizza Hut roof on the heritage...............ugh.

yeah I wasn't sure how I felt about the asymmetrical of balconies either, but if the bottoms weren't white, I don't if that would have been as noticeable.

Interesting. Funny how so many of us find different things appealing.
That is what is great about this site is that we can all express our likes and dislikes of a project have the minor discussion on it and still go about our lives without rage hating everyone this site has become a little bit of peace and quiet in a very loud world Just speaking for myself Don't know if anyone else feels that way

Having discovered this particular building a few months back when it was essentially built, I rather like it. I like the integration of the old and new, the interesting balconies, and even the glass bit above the heritage. Not having followed the project from concept to reality probably helps here.
