Toronto The Broadview Terraces | 15m | 3s | Studio JCI

Not sure if there's structural issues or if they're adding on another design element layer, but the Broadview frontage is back under wraps:

The panel discoloration, warping, lack of transparency, and dreary grey are really a downgrade, most of the design intrigue is missing now, even if the previous iteration wasn't perfect.

Really confused at why they would incur the extra costs for... that?

The one thing they did get right is the ground floor layout. Those big windowed bays flanking the recessed entryway emulate the tried and true commercial layout of our older streetscapes. I would certainly like to see warmer materials and colours, but this is the sort of arrangement I'd like to see more of in new builds.

Window film on the northern-most layout has gotta go though, I really hate that stuff.

I really like it from the pictures. But not sure how the panels stand up in person. It would've been nice if there was some splash of colour, but overall I like it.
