That 'pool' would have been better suited as an over-sized hot tub. To sit in there at night after a long day, snow falling over head, looking up at the city lights and of course beer in hand. Totally doable.
Instead they have this puddle of water that people can stand in for about 4 months a year. Instagram will be lit.

I like the splash of red from the Tridel sign by the angle of the podium glass. I suppose that will disappear when construction winds up. It would be pleasant if the red rectangle could be retained in some form, however.

I can't say this with certainty, but I suspect that companies often employ young, pretty women to attract interest to a product or service. Just a hunch though.

People already call it the Tridel building as opposed to Ten York, so seems fitting! Lol
