^I like marina city. They are nice towers. I prefer them by day. At night every unit has different tacky Xmas lights on their balconies (which is ok but the lighting on many other Chicago buildings at night is much nicer).
Not sure how I really feel about the exposed above ground parking. I just don't understand how it works for a city that has a cold winter... If it were Miami I'd understand. But I just imagine snow and wind and I dunno... Kind of a weird concept.

I love the ice towers as well, but I thinking I'm liking these two even more. They add a lot of visual interest.

I hate to the 'this' guy, but have you had the chance to see them in person? Especially on a nice day? They really light up, in my opinion...

Aye, I saw them in person less than a month ago. I'll give them points for being original but I think they look incredibly dated, and not in a good way. The parking area in the bottom portion was pretty cool, though. Stjames also brings up a good point about the xmas lights at night too.

On the other hand, the Wrigley building a couple doors down blew me away. Absolutely stunner in every sense of the word.

These will be really striking buildings. I haven't always been a fan of the current trend of "make a square box interesting via the balconies", but this really works.

Looking at some of IC42's balcony shots above, I fear that some of those susceptible to seizures might want to avoid this area of South Core entirely.

These are very nice. The complex will do a lot for the area, and to think, these monsters are sitting right where the slip used to be beside the HCB.

They should incorporate a plaque or memorial of some kind onto the property, in remembrance to the Noronic.

There is plaque , on the very spot that the disaster occurred . It's right beside the ferry terminal, in the park.

Was just emailed these photos that my mom happened to snap this week. I think she did a pretty good job!
