That first picture has my OCD kicking it into high gear... ARGGGGGH!
If true, that design makes no sense.
how would they seriously install that without noticing? lol
Or how could they have not fixed it for two weeks...

I've put up lots of glass on spider fittings, and I can say from experience that the one thing you never do is skip an opening because it makes the rest of the installation much more difficult. If those two pieces were fabricated with the pattern inside out or upside down I would have installed them anyway just to keep my spacing consistent. Plus it could take several weeks to get replacements, and they're helping to close in the building in the meantime
