Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

I'm sure this has been gone over already, but I've forgotten: the two condo towers are going up at the same time here, right? It's just that the office building component (which has just now risen above the podium) is going to be finished first...

You can kind of see it in the picture, and I see it happening a lot downtown around construction sites.

The site is given one whole lane of traffic permanently for the length of the build (years) and then they take another whole lane of traffic to park the mixers and other trucks in all day long while they're working. So a 4 lane road is reduced to 2 lanes for 12 hours a day. Or a 3 lane road is reduced to 1 lane for the whole day. I know they got to park these trucks somewhere, but it's just crazy.

And then sometimes they don't move the pylons off the street when they're done and the lane is just closed off even though the site is locked up for the night. I've seen this happen at 1 Bloor East a few times. I'd be leaving work, the site is locked up, and there's pylons left in the eastbound bloor lane with cars backed up behind it. I'd pick up the big pylons and move them back on the sidewalk.

harbour is only a 3 lane street, the hoarding doesn't cover a lane. once they rip down the off ramp it will be 4 lanes though.

I just found some pictures uploaded by Menkes Developments and I don't remember seeing them before. If I am wrong, admins please erase them.

Also from this appears that there will be some kind of connection between Harbour str. and Lakeshore somewhere in the middle of the building.

Will the windows be opaque on the east side of the Sunlife tower? If not, that would suck for the people in the condo facing west. lol
