The one thing we can look up to see the progression to construction are permits and there are no permits submitted whatsoever for Sugar Wharf Ph.2. My feelings are to set this one aside for now. The extension of Downes should be the first thing built

The yellow tool you were seeing is a compaction tester there is a steak that is driven into the ground on the side of the machine that registers the density of the ground below

I went through my photo library and took all the photos I needed for the timelapse and manually cropped them until they matched. I put them all together on iMovie. Converted to GIF using a free convert website.

Indeed, from the GO train you can barely see the old part:

But I don't mind the Gardiner even though I don't drive. I'd rather the traffic be up & away from me with the area underneath being pedestrian-oriented. The Lakeshore feels like more of an obstruction to me.
