The really weird thing is how the random spandrel on the inset part of the east elevation is a floor lower than the random spandrel on the rest of the east elevation.

I think that might just be an optical illusion caused by it being set back.. Pretty sure it's the same floor.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong with a picture..

I think the area you are referring to is actually on the 33rd floor, the first floor of the Residences. That area will be actually be two terrace areas for the two suites on that corner (Suites Q1 and G1).

still waiting till they install full on glass on the east wall. till then it looks pretty bad. i don't understand why they had to extend the granite that high up into the building. i would have liked to see the wrap around glass start where the curved facade began. :(

From today:
Looking down from 64th Floor, Scotia Plaza... plus some other assorted perspectives from downtown.
Too bad the sun wasn't out. Crapberry quality also...Sorry.

ahhh... i realize it now. the little "gap" that had been left out in the base cladding will support the lower roof thing that's suspended (what do you call that?), the thing that says trump toronto as you go into the building.

as seen here:

I say who cares if this looks like it from the 90s. It adds variety to a sea of plain glass towers that are popping up downtown, and the quality seems to be good, so I welcome it. It'll be a fine addition to downtown.

I agree... and I kind of like that it looks like it was from the '90s!

Yes I think it meets the street rather well considering all the negative speculation on this, adds a bit of texture at street level rather than another faceless glass wall.
