Why in god's name would THAT be a good idea? I can see the benefit of coverings over some buildings (T&S) but why hide the outside of the new North Market or the facade of the old Toronto City Hall.

I think it's fun – adds a little more zest to a facade that's otherwise in a confused spot between sombre and zany.

They should've kept the windows transparent so you could see the elevator bays from the street. It's a signature RSHP design feature. The 92 could've been in the elevator shaft, maybe in a bright yellow, red or blue.

Also a look at the feature outside/inside staircase we lost. This was in the original design but cut.

Worse still, they highlight them.Those lights should not be illuminating the ceiling. Looks like they planned to finish the ceilings which would've looked nice for bouncing light, cut the ceilings from the budget and someone forgot to tell the lighting people.

The courtroom fully clad in acoustic wood panelling look great - can't stay the same for the ones receiving the treatment only behind the dais. The way the steel roof arches meet the side corridors (with the inclined drywall/window panels) felt really crude and unsatisfying (like the rest of this project).

Oh, I wouldn't have guessed. There's not a lot of natural light in there despite the skylights.

What's lighting the ceiling then? I don't see any other upward pointing lights.

Edit: Upon reviewing the photos, you can see it on the light closest to the wall. Those are upward pointing lights:
