Toronto skyline

A GIANT satellite image of Toronto i came across. its sort of the uh, opposite of a skyline shot--but related in an interesting way. in any case, its cool to see all these building in such detail from above. i love the way the two City Halls interact; also i never realized what an insanely complicated structure Osgoode hall was!
it looks to be maybe three years old, as Bay Adelaide is just getting underway.

This is a great photo, but is it really from a "satellite" ?
It's easier to judge the perspective when the photo is viewed upside down.
The plane or helicopter appears to be viewing towards the south/west.
Would a satellite have that sort of perspective?

Sorry for the nit-picking.

i think you are right, goldie!

although satellite images can definitely get in that close:

here's an example: a satellite image of the Obama inauguration:

but you are absolutely right about the angle. also i think satellite images may have more of a 'frame grab' and grainier kind of look than the toronto shot.

thanks for the correction!

this picture was taken in early june 2009, i believe. this is what the four seasons' rooftop looks like.

It's not Toronto's skyline but it is Toronto (North York).
I took this today from 10 Tangreen at Yonge and Steeles with my Panasonic Point and shoot

This is a pano from Spadina & College

And now an update from last August, this (below) was taken on March 23rd. Three photos + autostitch.

A few people don't think there are many trees downtown. Check out the first photo from last August and contrast that with the one taken this week.
