I remember living in St. Catharines during my University years, and don't wish any part of that city on Toronto, except maybe Port Dalhousie which was nice.

Taken May 15th. Even though the dockwall and the plantings will be complete within 5 weeks, the docks, wooden boardwalks, Jarvis wavedeck will not be due to excessive red tape.

Note the silva cells

A new temporary sidewalk on the south side running from Jarvis to Parliament.

My mistake. The red tape that I was referring to concerns the necessary permits to build the outer boardwalk and not the wavedeck.

Great set of photos, catcher. Nice to see progress, I'll be happy if this opens any time soon even without a wavedeck (those things alone take many months to build, if I recall...)

This is by far the project I'm most excited about in the city. It's good to see that it may actually get some use at the end of the summer. Whether nearby people will make the trek when there's nothing else in the area is another story.

Is a wavedeck planned for Jarvis?

The Downtown waterfront master plan shows that there will be a slip at Jarvis, whether it is built is another issue :

Ah thanks. Looks kind of vague in the rendering, but maybe that's better. Some of the crazy steep wavedecks built so far (I forget which one) seems a little excessive

It's the kid in me that loves it, and I suggest the same in your case and all others. It's the adult community, like the 'Ontario Safety League' who see nothing but litigation in its perilous curves!

Personally I'd love for there to be more extreme WaveDecks. Make them all different and unique and of varying wavenicity.
