Toronto River City Condos Phase 3 | 99.66m | 29s | Urban Capital | Saucier + Perrotte

I like the contrast of the white and black on this building but I really want the colour that would have come with the yellow bits! The dramatic architecture does not make up for the removal of the much-needed colour, in my opinion.

I think the choice to go without the gold glass is a fair trade-off for the architectural expression we're getting here. They've invested a lot into the design and ultimately, inconspicuous railings work better with the concept of stacked boxes.

I mean, they don’t work better according to the architectural plans drawn up by Saucier and Perrotte and the sales centre model. Even if some people think clear balconies are a better design choice (to be clear, in context of how well the building is turning out I don’t think this is a huge deal either way), I fall on the side of wanting developers to deliver what was promised. I think it benefits everyone.

The audacious design of RC3 seems very well suited to it's graffiti laden environment. I can't think of a more suitable building to be located next to Underpass Park and the rail lines enveloping Corktown Common. They compliment each other beautifully.

You haven’t been paying any attention. It’s topped out in the last few months, it’s been enclosed to a few levels below the roof, and cladding and balconies have been installed up to the 12th floor. Also, construction workers get holidays too! Not sure I’d have gone outside in -22 degrees celcius :/

Fair enough. I work nearby so from a distance it looks like not much has been done on the outside. Glad to see it’s making progress. I can understand about not working during this cold streak.

Update: Got a letter last night saying the building is quite far along on interiors. PDIs are beginning for the lower floors in February (about 3-4 months before move-in dates) and ending for the highest floors in September.
