Probably should have moved to downtown Detroit, where she'll not have to worry about tall buildings going up next to her.
Well, let's be fair. When this woman bought her house, she reasonably assumed that she exerted control over surrounding properties which she did not own and that nothing in downtown Toronto would every change.
"This is our largest financial investment. We put all of our money into our home and we always pay our taxes," she said. "To have our tax dollars turn around to build a giant factory-like building behind our home is particularly upsetting."
This woman has been victimized almost as much as that woman who woke up one day to find that a hydro pole had been moved to portion of the street in front of her house.
