I can't help thinking that after looking at some of the above pictures that the oft maligned Trump Tower and it's dome is not only unique but looks damned good! I also can't stop thinking about the fact that some of the more prolific commentators in these forums who've bashed this and some other notable new structures are total morons.

So, er, Trumpian.

The onion dome looks ridiculous (its back half esp.) as it appears to be growing off the mechanical box like a cyst. The spire should have been built a couple storeys higher so as to rise above the extant backdrop of the mechanical box, which detracts from its distinguished form. Then there is the issues of the permanent crow's nest/servicing staircase, crumby looking glass and dome panels, etc. The entire tower is a disaster.
