New condo and townhouse development breaking ground on the outskirts of Collingwood heading towards thornbury

Renderings are taken from SRM Architects Urban Design package This project includes 3 x 4-Storey Rental Apartment buildings with 260 units and 12 x 1-Storey Townhouses with 60 units located on 11403, 11453, and 11461 Hwy 26 (W) in Collingwood

Taken last Friday most of the infrastructure is nearly complete I have a couple more projects I'm hoping to add in the next few days

I have seen them with foundation forms at the back side for the townhouse/bunglows

This site is a bit of a pain to get pictures of as most of the work is going on the back side away from the road looks like they have started to get footings in for the first condo building kind of disappointing that there is no underground parking in any of these buildings Collingwood has an obsession with surface parking took us till harbor House was built to finally go two levels down and I think that the quest are only supposed to be one needs to be a change of thinking on this or better transit in order to eliminate needs for personal vehicles in these projects

Looks like they have started work on building three though I have also seen them working in the areas of buildings one and two no progress has been started on the townhouses yet though

So I'm beginning to think that skydev has a rotation plan as the foundations of these buildings and earthworks is nearly complete Just as a are getting started on prepping at knights harbor in Meaford now I am kind of curious to check out some of their other projects to see what stage they are at

massive crawler crane on site curious what all it will be doing could this be being used as a mobile tower crane as the site has multiple four story buildings

looks like a large amount of prefab walls have been brought on site I am interested to see how this works if anybody else has seen this building process before would love your opinion

One day later and what a change

pretty good progress so far crazy the speed this moves with the prefab panel also the precast is prestamped

we are definitely starting to see some progress on the back building there is nowhere I can see what is going on with the center building and the front building they have just started on footings and there seems to be little action on the single story towns I will say it is cool watching them just set the precast into place

we're unloading some pretty hefty pieces of concrete today is very interesting to watch the crane work on this site also funny that the building that's getting built first is building three and they're still working on foundations of building one
