30 storeys, 95m, 110 hotel rooms and 242 apartment units. Only 8 parking spots on site with the remainder to be provided in the above ground parking garage next door in The Marquee. Looks like 95m tall to parapet. A wonderful 18m tower separation distance from the Marquee.

I got confused. In my mind there was another parcel in this block, and that 213 King St West just touched McMaster and was not adjacent to Marquee as well. D'oh! 🤦‍♂️😅
 
The west wall continues it's brick advance, no picture but the north wall has scaffolding to put up bricks too.

Eh a feew changes - for one there are 2 giant rectangular HOLES in each wall - the one behind the scaffolding with the light shining in side beside the big arched one (which is MUCH higher than it was on the render), and the front one where the fourth window should be, and oddly no third window.. makes the front look very off - also that rectangular small hole on the side a little higher up, which I assume is for ventilation, in between the giant rectangular hole and those two very narrow doorways , the lack of windows over the arch.. quite a lot has changed compared to the render.

Oh and 4 windows in front with a weird space between the first and second window, and only 3 windows per level on the render - and weird uneven panes like the one above the arch - why not make it symmetrical? The original would have had all symmetrical windows.

The render has harmony and symmetry ( in most places anyways, the windows along the long side aren't all centered) - the final product - does not.

When I see a render and elevation plans that don't match the final result.. it irks me, because it's false advertising - you are presented with a finished product that does not match its advertising.

So I'm a big fan of this style development. The podium closer to the ground using generally high quality materials and then going a bit cheaper higher up where it's a bit less noticeable. Also, seems they have the stair shaft forms on the roof. I suppose they are doing one last form for a roof access?

Yeah more of the core urban approach - not AS good as core urban but def better than say cobalt. It's good to see other developers adopting this style- as I feel it fits in MUCH better with our city. We just want nice classy podiums of traditional style - you can go as wacky as you want on top.
