Same I feel like brick would’ve been perfect for this building. Especially with the shape idk how to describe it but there are many buildings in nyc similar to this one.I’m still waiting for a tower with cladding that complements its restored heritage base (similar colour, texture, etc). I don’t buy the BS about wanting to differentiate the tower from the base so it doesn’t overshadow the base, etc. If developers want to save money by using grey spandrels, fine, but at least be honest about it instead of spouting off such nonsense.
