I would also wonder how close you could get the line into Blue Mountain. Huge end destination for the line. Too bad it would pretty hard to get the station right in the center because of all the development around it.

Work on the bypass is already on their way the wasaga to Collingwood section is already completed with the next phase beginning this year to bypass stayner
 
It would be a dream to have the station right in the "village".

I cannot find anything recent online about next moves on Hwy 26 re: a Stayner bypass. If you have a URL we could be looking at, please post!

Highway 26 at Stayner is getting traffic lights this year:
