This one is well under construction, and it.... well... doesn't look too hot. Here are some pictures I took this afternoon and evening (feat. a protest in the first pic):
The tower has since received its final coat of paint. It's cleaner, but it's still not exactly much of a looker. Photos from Friday, September 2nd.
Looking up from King.
An engaging ground level experience this is not.
From the northwest corner of King and Queen. Perhaps it's strongest angle.
I really dislike that the podium is on an angle compared to street/sidewalk, and the other existing buildings on the block. It's a perfect right angle with the Queen Street elevation.
Entrance and garage, respectively.
Looking up from Queen.
The rear of the podium. Maybe they can paint something nicer than big grey squares on here, eventually.
Finally, a photo from Queen and George. In contrast to the King and Queen angle, definitely less flattering.
A few finishing touches completed and being worked on. Sidenote: looks like a cafe or something is going in on the corner space as I saw some people working on it, and some high top chairs
