Helping whatever out. Here are some pics taken this evening. The glass at the west end, where there is an entrance door (to retail??) has the clear glass (with the white dots - that seems to be a thing now on new streetlevel developments). But the glass east of that does appear brown. Maybe has film on the inside??? I didn't get a pic, but the glass at the corner entrance is also clear (with the dots)

It appears the retail space will be occupied by the Beer Store:

Yeah, those expanses of spandrel at grade level is beyond brutal and completely destroys any chance of engaging street appeal.

Looking back at some of the renderings and elevation drawings, here's how they originally interpreted the base to be:

Disappointed that the brick columns were not continued down through the ground level. Annoyed that the mullions and spandrel that replaced the brick don’t align between the ground and second level.

Great news for the intersection. That Beer Store attracts a lot of undesirables.
However, it seems the Beer Store will be a ground floor tenant.

Cycled by the nearly completed building yesterday. Overall, I like the building’s look and scale. I hope we see similar ones on the Danforth, which is in need of modest intensification, especially above a subway line.

That street-level spandrel is atrocious. I'm not a fan of window wraps, but in this scenario, they will be most welcome!

What I'm wondering here is where the spandrel is covering solid wall (window wouldn't work) or is this because Beer Store is a tenant and that is there refrigerated warehouse section?
In other words, is this fixable with a different tenant?

That is well and truly awful.

I would assume that those are all uncoverable if The Beer Store ever leaves, but what's the likelihood of that? Their existence doesn't appear to be in that much jeopardy now that the sabre-rattling has subsided.
