Kind of sad seeing this along Cherry Street. I have seen a bunch of inebriated people jumping on these as they walked by at various times this summer. I guess the damage was finally done.

And then this happened earlier this summer on Commissioner's (orange bridge) when I was walking by. A parent sitting on the bench and their two kids were jumping all over this bench. Just as I passed them, I heard a loud crack noise behind me. Sure enough this was the result...

Simple solution to part of this. Don't let the wood overhang so much. It should have been maybe an inch or two (max) of an overhang and a 3rd support dead center under each bench would help support the weight of people using these benches as trampolines.

Speaking of the orange bridge. Still not fixed and even more broken now.

Taken today...

I completely forgot to post this a little over a week ago. There was some discussion about the barrier being partially removed on the Don River and a gap was left but it was hard to see.

I was walking by that day and noticed the water level had dropped to the point where you clearly see where the gap was made. Almost dead center.
