Looks like you've been reading the Star too much. Do yourself a favour and just stop.
I read the Star at times, and also The Globe and Mail when I can, and then the Financial Post, Economist, The Athletic, Farm Journal, Western Producer, The Walrus and others from outside Canada etc from time to time. I try not to use a spray can when deciding what journalism is worth reading over others. And that applies to online newsletters and the like. I thought the article in question was of interest and worth reviewing.

Maybe you're just reading too much, period?
Maybe.....but with the advent of technology such as https://www.globalagtechinitiative....uided-heavy-equipment-for-farming-operations/ I am thinking that we ALL should have more free time (to read UT for instance), unless of course you have the following as well https://www.businessinsider.com/john-deere-solar-storm-compromised-gps-tracking-on-tractors-2024-5 Now if Elon could get his autonomous car project off the ground.....

We can I agree on that, "I am getting what I voted for", a government that invests in infrastructure and gets things built. Doug is far from perfect (all governments battle with ethics), but overall I am happy with the results.

I will not turn this thread into a political thread anymore than it already is...........but I will say, I find that statement exasperating.

Sure, the governments that came before, both red and blue and if you go far enough back, orange too have been varying degrees of disappointing.........but i would say no less of the current regime, if not a great deal worse.

It's never about reading too much or too little, rather what it is they're reading, their comprehension of it and the gullibility in believing what they are reading without critical thought.

...that said, can we get back on topic please? And thnkx!

Their DOGE moment in tenuring contracts to parties that grease their palms...

There was a reason for the sole-sourcing, IIRC it was related to how elllis don was already doing prep work for the project I think, Also specifically intended to speed up demolition to get that faster date of handoff
