Demolition progression.

Do you know what the first phase is all about?
Being able to move people across the tracks more effectively and ensuring access between Liberty Village, CNE Site / BMO Field, and the GO station is maintained throughout the construction of the Ontario line and the massive station that will be built here.

Isn't it supposed to reach Strachan and Dufferin??
Yes, that would be a city project... like Eglinton Line = province, and Eglinton Connects = city. The provincial part will get built, the councillors will complain about how the province mismanaged the project because the project is so late and over budget, and despite the elapsed time the city won't have started their part not saved a dime to get it done.

On Eglinton we get little pieces of bike lanes that make no sense, and at Exhibition we will get some little piece of street that makes no sense.

All the way from Jefferson to Atlantic :)
The warehouse being taken down in @kotsy's Thursday photo goes as far west as Fraser. The pedestrian bridge touches down in the footprint of a demolition site east of Atlantic and the former building that existed there extended almost to Hanna. Hopefully that means that a few more blocks are being delivered as part of this station project.

for Eglinton Connects they have to wait until the crosstown project is completed and street handed back to the city before it can begin construction

If that is true, that is a crazy interaction model. Metrolinx needs to leave pristine intersections for the city to dig up all the streets in between the intersections? Surely they could demarcate areas of responsibility so that Eglinton doesn't need to be dug up for 15 years straight.
