Its fine to disagree with others opinions; but calling people desperate because you don't agree w/their opinion is not acceptable debating form.
 
If there is a shortage of downtown green space on one hand, and a financially struggling Ontario Place location on the other, then why not address both problems together and add green space at Ontario Place ..

Not if you ask @innsertnamehere ; he wants to remove all the trees at Ontario Place. All 2 of them, he seems to think.

Do that through much of the CNE too. In fact, connect the CNE and Ontario Place with one continuous park and have cycling connections to the Bentway and future Rail Deck Park. Much of the CNE is a surface parking lot with temporary and scattered use. The Ex carnie stuff can still come every year but sit on grass instead of asphalt. Parking should go underground. There’s a good opportunity to build this at the same time as the Ontario Line station, especially if we want to encourage park ‘n’ ride as people enter the city core. Metrolinx has much experience building multi-level parking.

Agreed. I know debate is raging over plans for Ontario Place. I just hope the city and province are talking to each other because the CNE needs life injected into it as well. It should be a year-round destination with 24-hour functions, not just a stadium, conference centre, and occasional fairgrounds. I know the purists were all about keeping condos away from Ontario Place, but it would be great to see a small neighborhood run through the grounds from Liberty Village to Ontario Place to integrate the CNE with the city. It feels like an island that you have to pass through a no-man’s-land to reach, especially in winter.
