Yet again:
Developer posts fictional renders prs-sales
everyone goes "ooooh that looks so great"
then the developer throws up some hulking ugly block of greyness
Everyone is disappointed

The building in the render was not to my personal taste, but I do wish there was some way to make developers build what they were approved to build and sold to punters.

That is what I have been advocating, however some (interchange) will tell you not to buy into renders and that it's the fault the buyer if he/she believes the end product will look exactly like advertised.

It's nothing new, as Tridel strikes again with it's poor exterior quality. And this is the company we are trusting with our Waterfront. I'd be VERY afraid.

As a purchaser I unfortunately have to agree, not exactly as presented but still a great area and absurdly expensive non the less.... ;)

Tridels only saving grace is that they're a quality builder. They build some of the ugliest crap imaginable. Right up there with plazacorp.

The photos of this project (unsurprisingly) have mostly been from the Bloor Street side. I decided to approach from the northwest side this past Sunday though, from the residential streets which are lower down the valley and closer to the Humber. The first two photos, however, are taken from the Humber Valley along the bike trail south of Bloor.

Why in the earth they used white sprandel? At least keep it all black. It doesn't even match the precast color! Jeez, talking about the same developer of Ten York. Oh my.

The spandrel is hideous. The use is so plainly clumsy. It's hard to believe anyone could have "missed" it.
