If you've already read our front page story (posted 42 minutes ago or so as of this posting), it has since been updated with this:

When UrbanToronto contacted Tridel on whether the purchase agreements made under the previous ownership would be honoured under the new ownership, they responded saying 'Tridel is currently working on a transition plan for the community, which is not expected to be completed for a number of months. Once complete, purchasers will be contacted directly."

Sorry if this has been answered already, but is the project no longer called "The One"? Asking due the fact the name of thread changed as well as the project name in the data base.

I wouldn’t mind having a few Mini-Ones scattered around town. But of course we know they would be cheap imitations - window walls, spandrel and the diagrids will be replaced with shaded balcony pattern.

I suspect the correct name for these projects would be Illegitimate Ones.

Thanks UT for asking the question. Hmmmmmmmm................. "transition plan for the community" Sounds rather ominous, like they are going to transition us right out of our agreements lol.

I'm happy about this. The One was always a bit cheesy and cocky plus the general public didn't seem to know it by that name. I usually had to say "the new condo going up at Yonge & Bloor" when talky to normies about it.
Yup, my sister is visiting from out of town and she asked me about the tall condo under construction visible from my place. I said: Oh, that’s The One. And she said: The One what?
