Yes: just only a 27 minute walk to downtown St Catharines
Yeah calling this project Montebello is confusing because everyone knows Montebello Park is the central park of St. Catharines. Lesser known is that it was designed in 1887 by Frederick Law Olmsted no less.

That's today's Niagara fact for you guys. (Smart) City leaders at the time probably saw the work Olmsted & Vaux did in nearby Buffalo, NY and probably decided they should have an Olmsted park too!

pretty much finished...developer going into units to do finishes now. They've done some finishes. They are entering my unit to install a fence :( hopefully, they don't destroy anything.

The Pickleball court is done. Need some lawn work done, some furniture in the lounge, etc... May take another 1-2 months for finishes and closing hopefully.

Finishes on this condo is uh to be desired lol.....can't believe they are using same floor tile from living room for bathroom ...

The condo is located a little deep into housing units and closest coffee shop is about 20 minutes walking distance.

Mom's Donuts, a breakfast and lunch place that serves everything from coffee, typical bacon/egg/toast breakfast to won ton soup and schnitzel sandwiches at the corner of Westchester and Oakdale Ave should only be a 10-12 min walk tops from Herrick Ave.

Edit: it's also only a 5-6 minute walk to one of the best Thai restaurants in Niagara, Chang Noi's Authentic Thai Cuisine.

Nearby Centennial Gardens/Richard Pierpoint Park has a walking trail, disc golf, and remnants of one of the old Welland canals if I recall correctly. They used to have a neat totem pole too but it was taken away for repairs in 2019 and I think the city is just going to find it an indoor home somewhere.
I wouldn't recommend walking through this park as the sun goes down however. St. Catharines underbelly appears. During daylight it's fine/safe.

Looking at listings on realtor.ca it looks like kind of a bait and switch between renderings and reality.
At least on the least expensive unit I viewed.

I hope overall you're satisfied with your unit!
