Toronto Minto Yorkville Park Condos | 75.89m | 25s | Minto Group | IBI Group

Just absolute and utter trash, though it is nice to see the retail space framing coming together, in anticipation of that corner and sidewalk being returned to the public after a couple eons.

I weirdly find the junkiness of this building oddly compelling like in a busted run-down futuristic kind of way? There's sort of a pixel-y aspect too that might end up kinda neat reflecting in the light — curves represented as angles like an 8-bit building.

The fact that this is all that can be mustered in terms of building quality and fit and finish in what is literally like The Official Luxury Neighbourhood of Toronto is also pretty delicious — the dysfunction of the society that provides the luxury made manifest in architecture.

Playing off of this, I almost would have preferred it if they leaned into the 8-bit pixelated look by making all of the windows square instead of long rectangle atop short rectangle.
