From the Gardiner, the condo looks quite nice too.

I'm not too worried about surrounding area. The city changes so fast now.

It may work for you when you buy it but like most features in a pre construction, it's also about resale value (unless someone intends to live in an oven less home for the rest of their lives :)).

You'd exclude a group of buyers from your resale: probably families or people who like to cook. A $500 discount from the developer is completely not worth it to ding you in the resale value, probably at least thousands less than comparable units. Similarly for units too close to the highway, no balcony, weird layout etc., etc.,
The size of the suites that don't have overs will exclude families, not just the lack of ovens in them; it's only the smallest suites that are going without them.

Haven’t been keeping up with this thread, and not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but regarding the grocery store, it’ll be a Farm Boy. So between that, Loblaw’s at the foot of Bathurst and The Well (Whole Foods?) this area will have some nice grocery options.

Great news! How do you know it's a Farm Boy?

Did a PDI there this month and they posted this in their office. The PDI guy confirmed it’s true and said FB are taking more space than originally planned (apparently this is because this location will carry alcohol).

There’ll be two other retail spaces as well (dentist and dry cleaner, anyone?)

Amazing news! Thanks Southcore. I live in the area so this is a great addition

The transition from white to brown panels is really awful. The entire building mass is black white and grey and a random pop of cheap brown panels in the town houses. Awful.
