It is taking them quite a long time to put all those gold elements on..

also lol @ the "fake windows" at the top of the building, just noticed that..

I am still hoping they cover up the sides of the concrete parking garage you can see peeking through those "slats" as it just looks extremely unfinished..

the black parts look pretty nice though - esp. when they're wet. Always something to look at with this piece which is a nice change. This little block has a bit of innovation.

Tenants of a downtown McMaster University residence are required to relocate to “a nearby hotel” for five nights in February as the building undergoes a “comprehensive” chlorination process to rid its water system of bacteria.

Looks like there will be some signage at the top after all. Oddly though this will likely be largely covered up when the building to the west reaches it's full height.

That building will only be 82m tall, so a good 20m difference almost. Should still be able to see it from most angles.

It's actually 94.3 m (213 King Street West), not 82, so only 3.3m shorter -- definitely weird that they opted to put signage on the Western facing side. Is the same being done on the side facing eastward?

I imagine we will see signage on more than one side, but that this is the first to get built.

I've always felt like Hamilton was lacking in signage on our existing towers, excited too see this lit up at night

There was some discussion in this thread on Skyscraper Page about future downtown campus growth, but I hate uploading pictures there. McMaster built a brand new master plan which I can link here if anyone wants, but the downtown campus plan is scant on information. Seems mostly residential with the property across Bay St planned to have some institutional uses. It would be great for there to be some classes being held downtown for certain programs or for entire programs to exist downtown:
