Request for Directions Report, seeking to oppose this at LPAT is headed to the April 20th, 2021 meeting of NYCC.

Report here: https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2021/ny/bgrd/backgroundfile-165393.pdf

While there are many 'small' reasons staff take issue w/this..........

It seems clear enough to me that the real problem is that this proposal may well be in the way of the new O'Connor Alignment/Extension.

City staff are also seeking to impose the H (Holding by-law) on the site.

So, is this plunging onward only to try to get a better price for the land from the expropriation?

Can you explain this further? Are you suggesting the city? province? feds? are planning on expropriating this land? and if so what is the purpose of doing so? Can't really see the legitimacy of expropriating this land and how it would serve for the greater good of the people... Unless maybe they make another seniors building there like 1420 Victoria Park which is right beside.

The City wants this land to reroute O'Connor Drive on a new alignment along the south side of the Golden Mile area to support the traffic that all the new proposals along that stretch of Eglinton will foster.

Oh wow, is there a city link or anywhere I can get more information on this project / plan? or an urban toronto forum page? Would love to learn more.
