Depends what you mean--those weights in the last picture are identical in kind, because they're free weights. But they're of different weights themselves. But a decent gym will typically still have a few sets of the most common free weights--20 to say 45 lbs--so that multiple people can use them at the same time.

Also the reason why I never go to the gym at Ryerson, waiting 15 minutes for a weight that was not even the one I want is no fun.
