Wow. So this has actually started?

Off topic maybe, but what happened to the abandoned LCBO building at Yonge & Millwood nearby? I can't believe a patch of land on Yonge street so close to Davisville has been left empty.

I'd walk down there.. but it's too cold today :)

Oh yeah they've been at it since before Christmas - here's a photo of how it looks today (with bonus gas company guys, still trying to fix the leak).

Re: the LCBO site, yup it's sitting empty with no real signs of activity for well over a year now, maybe longer. There's a thread about it here but no updates since Dec 2012:

Thanks for the update. Merton seems like a great place to live, especially since you've got easy access to the Belt Line trail.

Would really appreciate seeing another picture or 2 here. I am a retired engineer living in Florida and have a son in Toronto who says he got a new job working on a new building on Merton Street (I think). I recall he mentioned a "gas leak". (I have very limited communication with him.) If I can see a red GMC Suburban vehicle parked on site in your picture then I know he does have a job working at this site and hope he does well at it. Thanks.

Wow! Thank you so much for the 3 recent photos. Now I understand the very frustrating situation my son is dealing with getting excavation dirt removed off site and out of way of further excavation work without being supplied in a timely manner with dump-trucks required to do this. Such a logistic nightmare must surely impact on scheduled completion date for the whole project. And this is only the very beginning of a long haul. Thanks again for great photos.

My Daughter lives in the apartment behind the construction. The parking lot gives a great view of the construction.

They appear to have poured some pads.
