Toronto Laneways and Alleys

My kid got a bigger bike with gears this summer, and constantly wants to ride it. So we've been exploring all the laneways and alleys around us, looking for cool murals, laneway houses, vintage cars and the like. If anyone has some suggestions of good ones to seek out, post them here.

A start from me, two alleys with murals by a guy who goes by Trexlorian.

• One is a huge mural of Where the Wild Things are, in the lane running E-W just north of Wallace and west of Dufferin.
• The second is Bill Cameron Lane just south of Bloor and west of Dovercourt, with a mural of three blue jays.

The lane one block west of it, running between Northumberland and Wallace.

Quite a rich amount of art, just in the area between Ossington and Lansdowne, north of Bloor. I tracked down one of the artists and am hoping to commission him to do something for my house.

One I missed from the alley with Frank Zappa.

An interesting alley between Gladstone and Havelock. Lots of ones that look like tags, but are more colourful and considered than most. And a few other things.

Apparently there was a shooting this morning in the alley in which I took half of those pictures.
